Moov is a professional Street Dance Company run by Alea de Castro & Arnaldo Betancourt Silva. The group specializes in the styles of Hip Hop, House, Waacking, Breaking "Break Dance" and more. They share their skills and knowledge locally & internationally through dance classes, workshops & school programs, shows & high level performances at corporate gatherings, community events & dance battles.
Welcoming students of all levels and spectators who love dance, Moov offers a creative outlet, a unique experience and guidance to Street Dance & Culture.

Working with MOOV guarantees you an authentic, personable and professional experience within Street Dance. Regardless if you're hiring us for an international show in SE Asia, or taking a local dance class in Ottawa, as long as you love Hip Hop & Street Dance, you've come to the right place.
We promise to provide a welcoming, fun and unique environment when we show up & show out! We work within Ottawa, various cities in Canada (Toronto, the GTA, Montreal, Edmonton. Calgary) and Internationally.
OUR HISTOrY
Our work is international, but our roots are local.
With Alea being born and raised in Ottawa, and Arnaldo moving out of Montreal in 2017/2018, they were brought together in 2018 to create Moov Ottawa Dance. The initial intention for the collective was to create more spaces and opportunities for Street Dance within the Ottawa scene, which was successful, but the company took a life of its own and is now known globally as a leader in the community. Both of our team members perform and teach within Ottawa, Canada, North America and Internationally.
